Chairman and Chief Executive officer
Daniel M. Kelly
Dan began his career in construction and real estate investing in 1980. He soon founded Eagle Construction Company with a vision to leverage his skill and integrity in sales and marketing into the high growth industry of construction and development. From 1985-1992 Eagle Construction developed and marketed over $70 million in residential housing in Southwest Florida. Eagle Construction’s reputation for high quality resulted in a large number of construction contracts with developers such as Lennar Homes, WCI Communities, US Homes and Toll Brothers.
From 2002-2010, Kelly was a principal in Gulfstream Development Group LLC. As one of the largest builders in Southwest Florida, Kelly was responsible for nearly $700 million in construction projects.
After the crash of 2008, Kelly began acquiring hundreds of lots all over Southwest Florida. He joined Pinnacle Building Solutions as the Licensed Contractor and has quickly become one of the premier builders in Lee County. All of the land Kelly acquired has provided Pinnacle Building Solutions with a solid foundation for future growth and market share in Southwest Florida.
In addition to Pinnacle Building Solutions, Kelly is the Broker of Record for Horizon Realty & Development where he specializes in residential real estate investments and bulk acquisition of land.
Vice President of Acquisitions
Michael R. Zak
Mike brings his tenacious work ethic and impressive track record of success in vacant residential land and single family residence acquisitions to Horizon Realty & Development. In 2011, Mike was recruited to B&G Landholding as the manager of large demolition contracts. He oversaw the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) clean-up efforts after Hurricane Katrina in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. He coordinated the execution of work projects and payments for over 2,500 FEMA demolition claims, resulting in millions of dollars in profit for B&G Landholdings.
Mike quickly became a partner and vice-president at B&G Landholdings where he led the operations and administration of the home-builder land acquisition program. He oversaw all communication with an extensive builder network in fourteen Florida counties with an average of 3,000 closings per year. Mike worked directly with top management at Dr Horton, Holiday Builders, Wade Journey Homes and Maronda Homes along with dozens of regional and local home builders to provide lots all over the state.
In 2017, Mike left B&G Landholdings to form Horizon Realty & Development Group with Dan Kelly. Mike brings his seven-figure earning capacity to Horizon where he currently oversees acquisition efforts in residential real estate and coordinates investments for institutional fund clients.
